Thinking of you Yvie - and yes - eat the chocolate and don't feel guilty about it. Quality control is vital
You've all been very chatty, so I'm struggling to catch up or remember everything! I was outside at lunchtime to have my lunch today, watching the butterflies and doping a bit of deadheading as it was lovely. It wouldn't have been warm enough for you Hosta
Certainly chilly overnight LP, only 9 degrees when I went to hang my towel out to dry before work. Some of the glens further north were forecast to be having frosts last night. That isn't totally unusual though at this time of year.
Joyce - is the roof going to be finished tomorrow? What a pain. One of those jobs that can be a can of worms when they start. Hope it's all ok.
Slightly worried when you said you were looking at porn doc - I assume it was plants....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Just back from the English language club where I facilitate a class......topic this evening was about stealing and why people do it ......fascinating ,it was like being a Paddy priest in a confessional ......a lot to dream about .......night all
I'm back from visiting Mum, and am now slumped under the cat in front of the athletics.
A bit of excitement on the train coming home. A young woman with her 6-ish-year-old daughter was sitting in seats opposite me, using all sorts of excuses (including "I no speak english very well") to explain to the conductor why she was trying to use a 2-week-old ticket from Hull to Huddersfield to travel from Newcastle to York. The conductor was great - very patient, but determined to get to the bottom of the story and make her pay for a ticket, but also determined not to involve the transport police, because of the possible effect on the little girl. And the train companies reckon driver-only trains will work...
Mum was completely doolally but happy to see her daughters.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I'm awake at 6.30 am , because of Hubby's coughing instead of the usual need to visit the bathroom. I've scratched around the medicine box and found some cough and flu tabs, a jar of Vicks Vaporub and strepsil lollies. I can see myself going to town is morning for chemist advice on cough medicine. (Might buy some masks for me as well, but I suspect it's too late for that After last night's coughing).
obelixx, seeing your gorgeous cats, makes me wish I still had my little poodle to snuggle up to. Never mind, she's better off out of the cold we've had this winter. Her hair was getting a bit thin.i did find some dog ointment in the medicine box while I was digging around, so that's one more thing tossed out.
Lilyp, you had me scratching my head about a recipe that you said I put on some time ago, then remembered the Persian Sekanjabin drink. It's in my Middle East cookbook.

Fairy, the roofer worked until 8.15 and will be back tomorrow. Great worker, downing a coffee in five minutes and back up the ladders.
I finished the alpine trough this morning and now intend replanting the two stone sinks. Good excuse for some retail therapy
Another good weather day for us tomorrow. Pity you have to go to work
That's good Joyce. Nice when you get good workmen
Look forward to some pix of the trough - and then the sinks...
Yeh - could have done with going walking today!
