Hosta - 18 is about as hot as I like it if there's no wind, which isn't often! Any hotter than that and I definitely need a breeze
Have the tenants finally, finally gone yet?
I should have said wood pigeon-y size Pat. It just looked that sort of dimension
Any meringue/pavlova going spare Dove?
Pale and interesting - that's us Iain, although my arms are quick to colour after all the years of working outside. They might be weather beaten rather than tanned though...
Ooh - meant to say - the bat is terrific Dacha. He/she looks totally at home and nice and healthy. We have a few flitting around here but I haven't seen them for a few days.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
But seriously... just full of energy from 6 weeks on the sofa ........ I'll have used it all up soon and return to my usual more relaxed style of doing things But there are definitely times when I get a real urge to cook, and as OH wants to make a curry for supper I got my cooking fix this morning.
There will be plenty of pavlova to share this evening Fairy ... I mean, there's only the two of us here and it's got to be eaten somehow
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I gave my feet an extra good scrub in the shower the other day as they looked dirty. Turns out it's tan, just from wandering about in flip-flops. Still trying to persuade Possum to get some sun.
Received my copy of The Garden today. Got to love the headline on the front "Make space for Cosmos"!
Dove - I had 3 egg yolks going spare after using the egg whites for my Greek style roast chuck on Sunday. Hid them in spicy courgette fritters with gram flour for dinner last night. Delish. Just did miso brown rice and broccoli for lunch. Underwhelming. Shan't do that again.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I'm back after an unexpected visit from our usual visitor. She's just left at 10.45pm, so I was yawning in a very pointed way in Hubby's direction, when his finger just happened to turn the remote to Jools Holland. There goes another hour. Luckily I can have a bit of a sleep in tomorrow.
Yes, dont you worry Pat, my late granny said if you cant sy anything nice DONT say anything.we all have our likes a dislikes. I love you Dove, you are so diplomatic, you should run for presidential office!.Its 24d here, admittedly, that is in the sun, but really warm.My oldest daughter who lives in London hates pigeons says they are rats with wings. Our wood pigeons are much more gentile here!Anyway, my oldest son has 3 pets rats, we have often had them.
We have lovely buff coloured collared doves here and they're very welcome. Not so sure about the pigeons in the barn tho I expect they'll move on if/when I get around to making it a party barn!
Cosmos has been very busy this morning, playing around OH's feet while he built our garden table pergola thingy. Flopped in the shade now. Rasta supervised both of them with a happy grin on her face. Minstrel brought in yet another mouse. Bonzo is just baffled and waiting for walkies.
