Dinner finished. It was rather tasty, too. He even had seconds. It's amazing what a sprig of thyme and a sachet of tomato paste will do to leftovers. imageimage

TB is not a good way t o start or even end a day.  What were the Beeb thinking?

Have been for my blood test and, as ever, te nurse had trouble finding a vein so I'm full of holes in both arms.   Now I'm having a coffee before I attempt anything else.   Feeling fresh out there.  16C now but a wind chill - in August for heaven's sake - that makes it feel like 11C. 1.5mm of rain is the storms that failed to appear which makes 60mm since mid Jan.

I shall go and weed anyway as soon as I've finished Possum's new top.

AR - we've been watching John Torode in Korea so ordered up some spices and pastes to try a few recipes.  The Korean blast will now be this weekend and Possum can help.

Didn't watch the Partition programme cos I knew I'd get cross.   The Foreign Office had no idea then and probably still no idea now.  Same sort of chaps who did the partition of Africa between Britain France and Germany in the 1880s with no regard to geography or tribal territories.   Where do these people get "educated"?

Hope OH gets better soon Pat.   I leave mine alone if he's rude enough to get grumpy when I'm looking after him but I do ply him with drinks and tempting morsels or just soup.   He likes soup.

RG - I have been known to have words with plants about doing or dying.  Seems to work most times.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Morning all.  Hi LG - long time no see!

Cool but bright here so we're off for a walk down the valley, taking the prettiest route half way up the valley side where the trees meet the fields.  image  We may have lunch out...  image

Hope OH's cough subsides soon, Pat.  A cough is so irritating... and not just for the person coughing.  image

Talking about TV programs , a visit to Japan is top of our bucket list so we are so happy when we get to see programs like the Art of Japanese life with the wonderful Dr James Fox .....the episode on flower arranging and its importance to the people of Japan was incredible , after viewing it the OH promptly went out to the garden and popped this in a vase and hey presto image

    Hi all.

Well it isn't raining today, so I shall be tackling the bindweed, I may be some time.

I appear to be in a minority of one when it comes to TB, so I better not speak on the subject.

yes Obelixx and Liri. My food plan worked, and we're sitting peaceably in front of the Box (as usual). I rather fancy getting stuck into the chocolate stash. So much for being a good diabetes person. The trouble is, one is never enough once the taste in is my mouth. I'll contemplate it for a bit longer, but I suspect that I'll weaken. image
