Dove - what a total pain re your son. We have a different system up here, and although it can still cause issues, it usually doesn't cause that sort of problem
Great news for you Liri. Won't cover everything as Joyce says, but it will make a huge difference and make all your hard work a little easier to deal with
Have a lovely time on your hols when they come chicky. Very exciting for you. Bring me back a kangaroo
Meant to ask you - when is your walk? Don't forget to tell us so that we can sponsor. Are the knees ok?
Wet here, and I'm not sure it's to get any better, but looking forward to my couple of days away in the peace and quiet of the north. Sorry Hosta - perhaps I can visit you another time
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Walk is next Saturday - I have another practice one this Monday. Knees are holding up so far - my trusty trekking poles are in constant use. I'll PM you the sponsorship link thing ....if anyone else wants it, then let me know
Brilliant chicky! I just remembered a good tip re your feet. Two pairs of socks avoids any blisters. One thin, synthetic pair under good walking socks. It's made a huge difference for me - wish I'd known about it years ago. Might not be necessary for you if the ground's nice and level, but it's useful anyway - in case you fancy a hill or two

Hosta: that's interesting that 'unsocial hours' pay is disappearing. Some of my friends and colleagues (NHS) say they couldn't afford to live without doing 'enhanced rate' shifts. Many junior staff I work with take home more pay than their senior colleagues just because of the night and weekend allowance - bit bizarre really!
Hope everyone has a cracking day, whatever you up too.

Thanks Joyce
((Hugs )) to you too .

Hosta - we had to rewind the National Anthem on the news to watch it again ???. Reminded me of playing tunes with a comb and paper
Great news about the funding Liri - that, and your hard work, will make a real difference to that space
Hope son's situation gets resolved soon Dove - house buying and selling is such a nightmare in this country
So pleased Rgirls faithful friend has been able to be treated .....bionic dog in the making
.......and talking of holidays......a month off work negotiated for November and flights now booked.....watch out Pat, we're on our way ?? ????
But, in the meantime, its off to work I go
Good morning all
Onwards and upwards ...
Have a good day Chicky ... Exciting times ahead
