Hosta - we had to rewind the National Anthem on the news to watch it again ???. Reminded me of playing tunes with a comb and paper image

Morning all/afties Pat if you're there

Dove - what a total pain re your son. We have a different system up here, and although it can still cause issues, it usually doesn't cause that sort of problem image

Great news for you Liri. Won't cover everything as Joyce says, but it will make a huge difference and make all your hard work a little easier to deal with  image

Have a lovely time on your hols when they come chicky. Very exciting for you. Bring me back a kangaroo   image

Meant to ask you - when is your walk? Don't forget to tell us so that we can sponsor. Are the knees ok?

Wet here, and I'm not sure it's to get any better, but looking forward to my couple of days away in the peace and quiet of the north. Sorry Hosta - perhaps I can visit you another time  image

    Enjoy your break Fairyimage

Walk is next Saturday - I have another practice one this Monday.  Knees are holding up so far - my trusty trekking poles are in constant useimage.  I'll PM you the sponsorship link thing ....if anyone else wants it, then let me knowimage

Brilliant chicky! I just remembered a good tip re your feet. Two pairs of socks avoids any blisters. One thin, synthetic pair under good walking socks. It's made a huge difference for me - wish I'd known about it years ago. Might not be necessary for you if the ground's nice and level, but it's useful anyway - in case you fancy a hill or two  image

Morning all - beautiful early sun here.

Hosta: that's interesting that 'unsocial hours' pay is disappearing. Some of my friends and colleagues (NHS) say they couldn't afford to live without doing 'enhanced rate' shifts. Many junior staff I work with take home more pay than their senior colleagues just because of the night and weekend allowance - bit bizarre really!

Hope everyone has a cracking day, whatever you up too.

    Morning all.

    Late on parade. image

I think I fell asleep just before you guys got up.

LP I followed your tip and will continue with it for a few nights. Simple and can't do any harm eh?
