Pat, sorry to hear hubby has cough. He sounds like a tough cobber tho so I am sure he will fight it off. You may remember last year many of us were smitten by what became known as the 100 day cough,
my oh didn't suffer for 100 days......just 90! I had him steaming with some eucalyptus oil, it helped?
Was at what used to be a beautiful garden today It is the only one left run by Glasgow City Council and used as a training garden. Well I don't know who is doing the training but I have never seen so much bind weed. I had a really hard job restraining myself from starting to unwind some!
night night

Watched 'My family, partition and me too tonight. Very moving, an excellent programme.
Hello all, just returned from sunny and dry Merseyside/Lancashire to the torrential rain of SE London. Was only away for 4 days and came back to loads of big French beans and quite a few courgettes. No ripe tomatoes yet though. Need to get cracking on housework tomorrow as rather a lot of family are coming for a BBQ at the weekend and the place is a tip.
Will go and read back. Hope all are well.

Morning everyone. Update on Hubby, he has now admitted that his chest is hurting on one side , so I've got an appointment for him at 11.45 am today. I'd better get moving on breakfast.
Been and back. The Dr listened to his chest etc, and said take Panadol.
So - a 50 km return trip, and feeling let down by the system, Hubby still coughing all over the place, and I might add, very snarly on the drive home. Criticised my driving technique, grumbled about lots of things, etc. I've sent him back to bed (2.30pm).
At least I can get some peace. New colouring book is calling me.
been awake for ages. Not like me. Verrry frustrating, don't know how you cope Hosta
Pat yours is one of those situations where you are glad the outcome wasn't worse but it took so much effort to achieve you feel you could have saved yourselves the hassle. Did you try the steaming?
Think I might just get up!

Oh, I sympthise Pat, mine is evil when hes ill, he was booked for an op last year, then got the 100 day cough, along with all the "flu" like symptoms last JULY, weird time for these ailments! He did have a short course of antibiotics and his op in October in the end. over here the ads on TV say if you have had a cough for 3 weeks, go see your GP, cough mixtures, syrups dont work, slowely melting dark chocolate in your mouth has been known to help, good old honey/lemon even a spoonfull of honey, trouble is,when you cough a lot you do get chest pain. I had pneumonia once after flu, (was a fit healthy 40 something, NEVER smoked) I wasnt coughing just felt lousy, no temp either, knocked me out for 3 months.Bit damp outside, might be a bit of seed sowing in my NEW woman cave/potting shed later then! Taking Luna (border collie) to the vet for 10, its 40 miles, so I have to allow 1.5 hours there are lots of villages 3 speed cameras, road work, so will go early give them a nie run on Ashdown Forest on the way. We went to Dungeness on Saturday, (did the rail trip to Hythe, saw a lovelly pretty little church for sale.If you send the old man to bed Pat make sure his is well propped up.

Can't sleep. hey ho.
I'm not sure which has been the more emotional tv: the " gay Britannia " season, or tonight's programme about the partition of India.
It is forecast to be dry tomorrow, so I'm going to try to get the grass down to its proper shortness.
VIP visitors coming in 3 weeks. Must get things ship shape.

Hi LG. It's been sunny , ish , in Devon today too.
I once heard that the guy in charge of "drawing the line" to partition India had never been further east than Paris before he was sent to do the job.
What a mess it was.
