Morning all! Morning Dove x Afternoon and get well soon Pat!

Yvie, glad you had good news from the hospital, very worrying wait, glad its over! X

Hosta, hope the tests come up with a solution for you! Buying a plant as a good boy treat is an excellent idea! X

Chicky, glad you have a happy Chicklet! She has obviously worked incredibly hard! Well done! X

Gastric bug has gone so I'm safe to be around folks! Was supposed to be visiting papa womble today who has just had his prostate removed two days ago, but don't think he will be wanting a gastric bug, so no one wants a wonky visit! image

Spent my time off work looking at plant porn for work and making massive lists of seeds and plants I want for the cutting flower beds and main boarders. Have managed to didvide a few plants from my garden as well as everything was getting squished for space and I agree with the Irish plant finder on GW the other week, dividing plants when they are growing well, gives them a great chance of establishing roots! Got 5 totally tangerine, 6 rudbeckia, and 9 geranium.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend! image

Pat, its lovely to have the space to try out new ideas and I'm learning so much! I now look after the trained fruit trees, apples, pears, peaches etc, love harvesting the figs! Delicious! image also look after the rose beds in the cutting garden as well as designing the boarders for next year! There are days I spend all week weeding but I have my little radio on and listen to radio two and plan what I'll do next image

    Morning all.

    Glad you are better, Wonky.

Think there's something the matter with me, haven't felt like gardening since July! The Gardener's Club are coming for a BBQ on Tuesday and I don't feel bothered. Must make a cake for it as there is to be a small competition, best cake, best jam, best pickle, funniest vegetable sort of thing. We all put counters by our favourite and we are all allowed to taste. My cake was 2nd last year and my flower arrangement won.

Have bought a thing for cleaning windows in Lidl, shall give it a go today.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I know the feeling BusyL! Maybe as I garden all the time that my own garden is looking a bit unruly! Yours looks gorgeous, I just too a peek on the garden picture thread! Focus on cakes! image

Morning all!  Hi Pat - hope the chat on the forum is taking your mind off The Cough...

Hi Wonky!  Glad you're feeling a bit better.  And I know what you mean about enthusiasm for your own garden waning a bit, when you work in someone else's all day.  When I was a self-employed gardener, I'd spend all the fine days working for other people, and didn't have a lot of energy for doing my own in the rain.  image

BL, I think we all get times like that.  Perhaps you need a project?  Changing something or starting a new border might be a help.  image

Dacha, your lake is gorgeous.  image  (And your cat's lovely too...)

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Morning all.

Hosta Hugs for Pat and Hubby.

Dacha, that lake looks stunning, but very cold.

Bits of GW were good last night. If we didn't have cookery, weather and endless shots of dozy dogs, it would be more like a gardening programme. Loved the roses section too.

Wonky, I'm glad you're feeling better.

You're right I really did deserve a treat. They removed and armful of blood  ( TH ) so they could pump in gallons of stuff into me, then , after half an hour, sucked out gallons more blood. A water lily was the very least I deserved.

Have a good weekend one and all.

    Devon.

Morning all/afties Pat - sorry you're still feeling lousy. These  things seem to take their own time and not much you can do to hurry them.

Glad you're over yours Wonks. Lovely that you're enjoying the new job so much though image

BL - you've been so busy all year (just for a change!) so perhaps you just need some time to please yourself -  to relax and potter.

Wonder if Dacha's dried off and warmed up yet....image

    Lovely pic.

I've got a few things to divide too. A new helenium which is badly needing split into a couple of plants, or maybe more. Always a good bargain buying perennials at this time of year! I've allowed the bees to enjoy the last flowers on it but I'll get that done over the next few days, weather permitting. Sunny right now - but big rain coming again later. Just as well it's been too cold for the grass to grow much - I'd be struggling to get it cut.

I've optimistically put washing on though....

Time for a look round here with another cuppa. Not read back beyond this page.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Right, Hubby made a pot of tea before heading to Waitrose.

Head to the garage to stick 2 loads of washing in the machines. Load them up, Pick up the box of washing powder and the bottom opens up. Washing powder all over the floor. GGRRRRRRRimage

Just done a quick trolley dash around W'rose ... at this time of the year they have lovely pillows 'cos all the landlords are kitting out the student lets etc ... I love their cheap £15 a pair washable pillows so I grabbed another couple imageimage  plus a load of washing liquid, bleach, drain cleaner, kettle de-scaler, shower spray sort of stuff ... plus flour, butter and lard for a bit of a baking session.

I've got a load of washing on too Fairy ... it's clouded over here but there's a stiff breeze so as long as it's not actually raining they won't take long to dry ... just a thin top and some underpinnings sort of stuff..

Hosta ...better eat some liver and kale to replace all that blood image

Morning Wonky ... glad you're feeling better ((hugs))
