Grasshopper of the day, resting on monarda flower & leaf. Green on green, not so easy to spot in the garden!

We had a certain clump of Monbretia that always attracted these giant grasshoppers in my parents garden. My picture for today was hanging about on it's web just outside our front door.

Lovely wasp spider
Todays photo is a still life in green. A final instar nymph of the green shield bug.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Try devil's coach horse beetle.
