imageimagesome of the mushrooms around here grow a yellowish almost fluorescent color, not all just with some of the plants, usually tends to be In the tighter, poorer soils of our plants. The big flower arrangement is kind of cheating my mom bought those flowers, however the smaller arrangement with the alligator lily and bat flower were grown by us. The yucca filementosa(maybe) in flower last year, it had two flower stalks one on each side, I'll try to get a picture where both sides have flowered from Dillon, these pictures are his. The blue bearded iris of course( I was able to split the rhizomes so now we have 3 plants!). The picture with my hand is pointing to a big caterpillar lol. And the rose in the front yard with momma kitty was a gift from dillons mom that is doing very well now. Also the Christmas flowers with the iris. And the dragonfruit flowers were from a couple years ago and the mother stalk died but I was able to get a couple of babies so either this year or next we should have dragonfruit flowers again. It died cause it hit about 45 - 50 degrees one night during a cold spell and just shocked it, this plant only does well with heat and sun I've noticed, and very good drainage. Thank you to everybody for taking notice! 2500 views plus ^-^ <333 we love ya'll!!!

I love looking at your plants. It's like an alternate universe. Most of them are totally unfamiliar to us.

Is there anything at all that we can grow that wouldn't grow for you?

    In London. Keen but lazy.

imageThe lotus and the one of me in shorts are at brookgreen gardens, it's like 5 miles away from us and the woods behind our house are partially owned by them I think. But I will go there one day and get pictures cause it's an amazing place for sculptings and gardening and plants, also I go there to get exotic seeds from time to time lol. The smallest watermelon we'vet ever grown haha, also ducks at our house this year just walking by. Pokémon carved into pumpkins, gastly, haunter, gengar . and me, Dillon, and my brother Eric who died last year, this was the Christmas the year before last.

imageimageimageimageimageI know I keep putting pictures of these but there my favorites! If I had a family crest one or both of these flowers would be on it lol!! And last night for the 4th time this year so far the night blooming cereus flowered again and I couldn't get a good count cause I was tired when I took these haha, but it was 16 to 22 flowers on our plant last night, and theres two sets of flowers one at 9pm the other at 12:30am to show the opening sizes. It also has two more flower buds on it so it may flower more! And I should've tooken a picture of the bat flower while it was still on the plant :/ i promise I will if it flowers again!  and I took that little vase into work and ended up dropping it and breaking it and bruising the flower but it's still amazing and I'm glad I took these pictures before I dropped it lol >.<

Love those night flowering cereus. What do they look like during the day? Just buds or do the flowers last into the morning.

There's another flower shoot on the plant now, it will stay closed til about 7:00pm then it will start opening, til about 2-4am then it starts to close/wilt, and unless the flowers get pollinated they just droop and fall off kinda slimy lol, but it hasn't fruited for me yet but I hope one day, and I'm guessing only specific moths or bugs can pollinate it cause of its night blooming tendency.

imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageblah! our cereus flowered the last of its blooms of this particular period, but I can still see a small flower shoot pushing out and this is #5 time it flowered this year so far ^-^!! And the day lily there i was finally able to capture cause they usually come out when I'm at work lol! Somethings been munching on the flower and I wish I would have smelled it earlier but it's still very beautiful!! And I was wrong about the gladiolas lol they still just keep popping up, and our front pond with water lilies, these are called alligator lilies but I call them crocodile tears lol >.< I know some are like: you need to learn the Latin name!! <3 and the last it just a fan palm in flower :)

heres also a small list of problems this year for me :(

the first was dragonfruit, squash, cucumbers, (some) tomatillos, borage, yellow peas, watermelon, cantaloupe, romanesco broccoli, cabbage, and Our pomegranate also the bells of ireland.

Squash: got mildew, easy to fix by putting it in full sun then the shade where I had it.

    cucmbers: same deal as squash.

tomatillos: not tomatoes, but like them just smaller, had them planted in a shady area aswell it I also could have planted them a little later.

Borage: same as tomatillos but with these I should have separated more, put in full sun, and caged or strung up.

yellow peas: needed more sun and to be tied up better cause they kept collapsing and leaves breaking off from weight.

watermelon & cantaloupe: moved them but should have left them where they were, they needed a lot more sun, less watering, and whenever I put them in the ground I should have put mulch or straw around the plant to prevent kick-up of dirt when it rains.

romanesco and cabbage: both of these got treated the same but I should have put them in bigger pots to start, and tending more before the bugs ravaged them. Also should have planted these way later in the year but I'm so excited to grow things I end up rushing lol. But these did fairly well even in the shade and rain and extreme heat. But the bugs tore them up so I decided to pull them, but chances are I could have just left them and tried to fight the bugs. In the fall ill plant more and put them in full sun.

bells of Ireland: a heavy rain just smashed them, but I should have planted these when it was a little warmer than when I did, plus i probably overwatered them, but it was a blessing to grow and they did even better than I thought i will continue to grow these. The soil should have been more free draining.

pomegranate: I just had to cut a huge branch, not sure if the rusty anchor setting on it did some damage or it's the heavy rain lately but I removed the anchor, cut the branch and dying twigs and I'm hoping it recovers and the rain isn't the cause... but other than that it's still flowering and has fruit but it can be frustrating, cause I dont want any harm to come to these plants but you have to learn to deal with it, nothing stays perfect, but giving up especially on plants isn't always the right way, but some things just die even when you give it your all ugh!! But it's been a fantastic year and I hope it may continue!

dragonfruit: stayed too wet and rotted but luckily cut the remaining side shoots and good growth to grow more. I should also put this In better sun...
