I know what you mean Anne.  Gardeners World is like eye candy, nice to look at but not very relevant to the way I garden in my little plot.  Some of the features when they visit ordinary gardeners are good, people with a passion for their chosen plants.

Beechgrove Garden is much more informative for the average gardener, in my opinion. Not sure when it starts ?? I watch Beechgrove on a Sunday morning, BBC 2image

I enjoyed the lichens. They're a big feature of our landscape up here, and rarely get a mention anywhere

I just fast forward the bits I'm not interested in - which can be quite a lot  image

Has anyone ever counted all the  'complain about GW'  threads?

Just interested, not a TV watcher. image

You could start claiming a £1 for each one, like Hosta's "cat kitty" if you're quick nut image

So if Beechgrove has the basic stuff for the average gardener what would be the point of GW carrying the same information?  image

Thanks for the heads up Fairy?.  I liked the lichen feature as well ?

I think GW shows aspirational gardens. Beechgrove shows practical gardening.

Just my opinion. Room for both with my Sunday morning cuppa ☕

I mentioned Beechgrove thinking Anne might not have seen it before. Its not advertised much on the beeb.  Thought Anne might find things like the tomato trials they do of interest.

I like watching both shows image

I found the subtitles a little odd Chloe, but she did have a very thick accent which some people may have had difficulty with.
