Salvia hot lips

Bought one at the market last year as it looked so cheerful, it romped away and surprisingly survived the winter. Would love to keep it though it has outgrown the spot I put it in. Should I prune? Can I move it? Any advice appreciated. I'm in the West of Scotland.

Mine are around 2 feet deep and 1.5 feet wide (old school measurements !). I move them into a sheltered spot near the house wall to overwinter. Make sure you put them up on "pot feet" to help with drainage.
