Not bringing sandwiches either, to be honest the less I have to carry around the better. Tea and cake sounds just the ticket, talking of which I've just printed my train tickets off and checked the tube route.
I'm having to bring a small rucksack, cos I need clean socks and things, and a toothbrush etc, so I'm fit to be in company after a night on the coach...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Thanks very much Topbird. I'm stupidly excited at the thought of going on the overnight bus... this time of year you can see the sun rise if you can't sleep, which is fab... it's all made a little more complicated by the strike on Northern Rail, which is why I'm leaving so early. (Two buses required to get to Bradford from my neck of the woods - a journey which would have taken 45mins on the train.)
We promise to have fun.

Have a great time everybody. I'm feeling excited for you all and I'm not even going!
I feel like that too when there's coaches parked outside the local primary school. I'm sure I can smell the squashed bananas and the sweaty spam and brown sauce sandwiches as I walk past

That sounds like a long old trip Liri
Hope you and everybody else have a truly "Grand Day Out"
All the East Anglian contingent trips I've been on have been great fun - and it's so good to actually meet people who already feel like old friends.
Have a great time - lunch, coffee and cakes are definitely part of the experience.
(The odd pint of beer / glass of wine / G&T doesn't go amiss either
)
