    Oh dear! image

This is a thread about arranging a trip to Kew to see the new herbaceous border. Not about one individual.

Shall we return to the subject ? image

That's a pity, Flowers.  Maybe another time...  image

I was trying to ignore the extraneous remarks.  My nephew went to Kew yesterday and posted some fab photos on Facebook; I didn't know he was interested in gardens, but clearly he is becoming so!  Personally I'm really looking forward to going.  image

Last time I went to Kew, they were packing up the temperate house. Someone mused about why the Rhododendron fragrantissimum had moss packed around a stem. I spent 10 minutes explaining how to air layer a plant.  Two weeks later, someone on the telly was explaining exactly how to do it with the same plant. I didn't have the cameras trained on me...

Just a thought - Hampton Court Flower Show is 4-9 July (4 & 5 are RHS member days). If anyone wants to go (like me!) they probably want to book their tickets in advance. It would be good to know which day the Kew visit is, if possible, so as not to clash...

Good point LG.  I'm just waiting for chicky to finalise plans but think last week of June is better for her so maybe we Could think of this week instead. I hope to go to Hampton court this year too.  I went quite a few years ago and was brilliant image

Right folks, if this is definitely a goer I'll book my train ticket.  I know we are going to finalise details nearer the time but do we have any idea of the core hours we will be there as that will impact what train ticket I book.

I would think aim to meet up about midday ?  That then gives enough time for people to travel, but still gives us a good time to look around - what do others think?

Also just noticed that Kew has been added to the list of gardens included in the GW mag 2 for 1 card offer this year.  I'll definitely have a card, so anyone who doesn't have one can come in with me for freeimage
