Lovely photos, Fidget, thank you. I've never been to Kew, don't know when I'll get the chance.

I've had a lovely scent in my kitchen terrace recently, wasn't the honeysuckle, jasmine or the Gertrude Jekyll rose. Mystery every year. You have just solved it! I have a lime tree! image A lot of old French houses have them.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I wish I could bottle the scent of the lime tree. A very summery scent.

I'm so sorry that I won't be able to join you on Monday.

Have been hanging on and hanging on to see if circumstances changed to allow me to come but they haven't. Some of you know that I have a poorly cat and I (or OH - but he's away for work) need to be around for medication / feeding regimes.

By rights Harry (the cat - not OHimage) should no longer be with us but (thankfully) he is. However, I can't really leave him for longer than about 8 hours which doesn't allow enough time to get to (and look round) Kew.

Maybe next time? Did somebody mention the Chelsea Physic garden? - have been meaning to go there for yonks & never got round to it. Would love to go there next year.

Hope you all have a wonderful time on Monday - photos pleaseimage

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Count me in for that one ............ as long as I don't do anything else daft between now and then image

Glad pusscat is still with you and that you can have more summer quality time together ((hugs))

Yes, BM - I'm on for Monday!  Sorry your moggy is poorly, Topbird - maybe we'll meet on a future occasion.

Had a panic this morning as I discovered that Northern Rail have a 3-day strike on Saturday to Monday.  I didn't fancy being stranded in Leeds on Monday night - but a combination of buses and husband (with car) will make it still possible...  phew!  image

There were others who definitely said they'd be there, including Chicky.  Do we have any arrangements for meeting, at a particular place and time?  Can't remember!

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
