Hi Topbird, It will take me into Euston.  Then I would need to take the Victoria line and change at Victoria onto the District Line, it should take about 40mins.  I think I might book a later train, I'll have a look and see what's on offer.

I've booked my ticket, I'll arrive in London Euston at 9.30 a.m, and leaving London Euston at 7.20 p.m.  I'll have a bit of hanging about to do, but they were cheap tickets and no changes.  Yipee.   So looking forward to the trip, never been to Kew and looking forward to meeting you all.  Let's hope we have good weather.

Oh good, I had the impression that everyone knew each other IRL! And yes, Topbird, my family will know where I am in case you're all a big kidnap gang image.

Yvie, I think you're wise extending the day. Unless you happen to be in a particularly convenient location, Kew can take a long while to get to (I live in SE London and will be allowing a couple of hours!) And it's enormous, and wonderful, and you can *easily* spend hours and hours there, especially if the weather is good. If the weather is poor, it's a bit more limited because of perhaps needing to be in the glasshouses rather than wandering to the far ends of the site, but imo you can still find plenty to amuse.

... and don't forget that all forum outings involve coffee and cake - sometimes more than once in the day - all takes time...image

Hello folks from the wilds of Scotland.  Count me in for 10th July - I'll book train or bus as soon as I get home.  image

I haven't met anyone from the forum either... looking forward to it.  (And to Kew, of course!)

I wish I could come, we'll be arriving in England a week later, on the 17th. I'm posting because I want to see how it went. I've met Topbird and Dove. Maybe we could do something in Norfolk or Suffolk the 2nd half of July?

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
