Yvie I do hope the sicklies are improving, it's such a worry when children ill. No matter what age!
thank you all for exhaling with me! I know babies are tough little blighted but they know how to worry us too he has smiled this afternoon What a blessed sight!
Hosta think how much water your plants need, now think of your size (don't mean to be rude!)
would love to hear a cuckoo, haven't heard one for years. Our woody is the noisy chap around here
during the day and the owls at night, which I love.
Dove thanks for reminding me it's time to order the herbs
everyone has been so busy can't mention all but have a good Friday night.
Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them.” A A Milne

.... and of course, just over a year ago Hosta radically reduced his intake of one particular type of liquid ............. this may have had an impact ..........
I haven't heard a cuckoo for a couple of years, but we're quite close to the city so we were surprised to hear one just after we moved here ......... however there are marshes and a nature reserve just over the hill. We do hear owls here from time to time.
Lovely to hear that the little one is bouncing back ......... if only parents and grandparents could bounce back as quickly ........... we take a bit of time to believe that the worst is over, don't we ((hugs))

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Me too, Linda. She's got a lot on her plate at the moment - but if you look in, DD, we're thinking of you. xx
Evening all! I've spent all day outdoors so only just sat down with the chromebook. You've been quite chatty; nice to read of improvements in health of little people, and hope to hear you have a definite diagnosis soon, Hosta.
First job was trying to outwit next door's cat, who has taken to hiding amongst the daffodils on the bank behind the house, waiting for the birds to forget she's below the feeders. It doesn't help that she's a sort of blotchy tabby, blending in very well with the mud and dead leaves on the bank. Anyway, her favourite lairs are now rather less comfortable, since I've harvested some brambles and coiled them into prickly cushions, held in place with rose prunings. The cat is Not Amused...
Just watching "Only Connect". The only part I have much of a hope of doing well at, is the missing vowels round. Ah well, sometimes it's good to feel stupid!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Had a hard few days in work so looking forward to a change of scene this weeeknd with soil, seeds and secateurs being my 'work'.
I haven't heard "my" owl yet this year. I have never been lucky enough to see him/her but in the Summer it sounds like it is very close. I am a bit concerned that since the Council felled the 100foot pines behind my garden that the bird (and squirrel) population will be upset. We still have plenty of large trees around us so I hope the owl has decided to stay.
