Friend comes round Friday afternoons Dove. No doubt I'll doze off after tea.  Chap who gives occasional help in garden will be here at 8am.

Oh dear! There has been a catastrophe! OH tells me the coffee jar has broken and there are shards of glass lurking in the kitchen. He's done what he can but now must go to work ... I shall have to deal with it in a bit, then go to Waitrose and buy a new coffee jar ......... And more coffee!!!!

Catastrophe indeed Dove image.  Hope there is tea insteadimage

One more day at the grindstone, then really looking forward to my weekend.  Tomorrow I am going (with some friends) to a Garden Festival in the Cotswolds.  Lots of speakers - I'm booked in to see Troy from Sissinghurst, James A-S (who was hilarious last time I heard him talk .....very irreverentimage) and James Dunnett, the meadow man.  Plus a garden to look round at the venue, and some stalls.  I think cake will feature too ???.  Can't say better than thatimage

There was thankfully more coffee in the cupboard Chicky image  The jar that broke was a Le Parfait storage one with a spring clip. Duh!

Sounds like a good weekend ahead Chicky - enjoy image

Morning all/afties Pat - 6m would have been a slightly different scenario! Glad it's dampening everything down.

Like Hosta - I thought it was starting to dry up a little, so that the grass could get a light trim soon, but it's gone from wet to frozen so it'll have to wait a while. Lovely and white and sparkly out the front, and half of the back, but there's blue sky and sun. Temps are rising as the thermometer is in the sunny bit image

Hope all goes well at the doc Hosta.

Just as well you had a spare Dove - I'd be the same if there was no tea image

Sounds good chicky - hope you have a great time. I love James AS. Very witty.

Wonder if Joyce got a little nap squeezed in...image

I'll have a quick look before I go to work. Friday - hurrah. Have a good day everyone   image

    Good morning Fairy image

There's always plenty of coffee in the cupboards here - I buy lots and lots when it's on special offer image  stocks are getting a little low tho' .................. I'll be heading for Wrose in a bit . when the kitchen's had a good wipe down with a damp cloth to make sure there's not bits of glass left laying around to sabotage my fingers and toes ..........

    morning everyone,

Pat your hubby sounds like he is the local hero, little concerned about him being called with gun to 80 year old mates!!!

Chicky that sounds a lovely day

Dove we had a breakage like that and with 2 dogs it took ages to clear, ended up vacuuming it all!

Joyce hope you get 40 winks sometime in the day

Fairy, looks like you should get a good walk this weekend

Hosta hope doc can find the problem

    have a good day

    Good morning LilyP  image

OH has wielded the vacuum ... the thing is that there's quite a large shard missing from the rim of the jar ..... OH said it shot off through the air ........ I suspect it may lurk among plants on the windowsill .........
