Early this morning had 2 at the feeding station, one was inside that one was trying to get out the back where there isn't a entrance. I know now why the feeding station gets moved around. @purplerallim I don't think that they mark their territory.
Maybe not @Logan4 , but the males sure follow the scent of the females and if the outside one was a male the inside one could have been a female trying to get away.
I always look at hedgehog poo as a sign of appreciation! I know if there's been a lot of "courting" going on there seems to be a lot of 💩 around, l thought it was possibly due to the female getting stressed by the male's attention. Might have had two myself @Dave Humby , they cleared the plate. If this keeps up they will eat me out of house and home, or I'll have to put them on a diet!😆
Morning everyone. Now that I'm working less in having time to appreciate my own garden. I am in Ipswich Town centre but grew up in a small village on a farm. Missing the countryside, I've turned my garden into my own bit of peace and quiet. I spray nothing, clear nothing and feed all animals that enter. There is a wildlife pond with frogs, toads and newts. I have a very large shed which houses a fluffy tabby stray that keeps rats away and gets feed twice a day, shes cohabiting with 2 hedgehogs and there is another hedgehog house in the garden. There are also 8 bird feeders hanging from a rambling rose over the shed. By the looks of your posts I'm on the right thread. Hope you don't mind me popping in to see what's happening in your gardens.
Not at all @WonkyWomble the more the merrier. 😁 Its lovely to be able to watch the wildlife on your doorstep. I've moved from town to rural, so seeing hogs ( which cleared the plate again last night🙂) in your garden is wonderful, and I do like my garden birds as well.

Do you have a trail camera in your garden?
