Help Save the Hedgehogs Part II

  • Sorry wrong site for above post.

Found today at the side of the road, one very stunned/injured hedgehog.  Poor thing was bought to us by a neighbour - we watched over it for an hour then when we were sure it was still alive we rushed it to our animal rescue centre.  It was on the large size, so hopeful it will make a full recovery.  My husband named the hog BRUCE because he was listening to Ken on the drive up to the centre.

Fingers crossed for Bruce @Guernsey Donkey2, keep us posted if you can.
Update on the little hedgehog that was speared by a fork - her wounds have healed but she has internal parasites that require treatment and she is still underweight.
Doing well though,  all things considered.
  • Yes, I will if I can. They have over 120 hogs at the rescue centre as well as other animals too, they need all the help they can get from volunteers.
I to hope your little hog makes it AnniD, she is in the right place for the specialized treatment she needs. Finger crossed for her.

Chris packham blames the tv reality show I'm a celebrity get me out of here. He says that they show a lot of animals being miss treated. I don't watch it so don't know what happens on there.

@AnniD glad that your hog is doing well.

  • That is shocking @Logan4 , how can the producers allow such things to happen on their programme that is watched by millions (not me) of young people, they should be teaching by example, this is awful.  Can we contact them to show our disgust?  I hope Chris Packham who has a strong following is making his feeling felt.

You  can complain to Ofcom the programme is on ITV and made in Australia and  bought by ITV. Chris Packham is very good at these things, he always makes himself heard. I don't like him very much but he's good at what he believes in.
  • Chris is "different" and that is not a bad thing in this world of conformity, I admire him for that alone -  also for the tremendous work he does for the natural world. He knows how to encourage children and adults for that matter to take more notice of their environment - as of course David Attenborough does too. Thank you @Logan4 for bringing this barbaric behaviour to our notice.

Yes he's different, he said that the wildlife programmes should show everything, not just the good bits. But i think that there was one like that.

Thanks @Guernsey Donkey2 if it wasn't for my smartphone and the BBC app i wouldn't have found out.

Yes David Attenborough showed us all the plastic in the seas.
