  • imageimageCheerfulness narcissi are well-named!  Early risers that shine out even on a grey day; small enough to pop in any pot but although' little' they fill the whole patio with perfume. These really are a teasing hint of the garden I am waiting to unfurl again.

Mine are in black ceramic pots with Osmanthus delavayi which blossoms at the same time - pots full of hope and promise.

Aah - I was assuming you'd had some MU, as the north east has had a fair amount. You must keep missing it  image

It's pretty when you get out in it on a decent day though. I got my share yesterday image

    Lovely lupin/allium combo Dove image

I'm not so sure this thread is a good idea. It's making me long for warmer days!  -I just went out to fill up the bird feeders. Still 2 degrees but there's a sharp old wind up my Trossachs.... image

So I'm not feeling guilty about sitting in the warm house doing very little image

I love Cheerfulness too - lovely ML  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Fairy, the Joan of arc are beautiful! I love the lilac detail at the base image

Raisingirl, the light in that picture gives the brickwork such a lovely warm evening glow!

Kathryn, love the Forsythia! Blast of colour on a dull day!

Runny image I've never been able to grow tulips well, yours are gorgeous! I'm trying in pots this year.

Dove, love the colours of those clematis and aqualigia! Thought we could all use some brightness on a dull day! image

Marinelilum, well named narcissi indeed! And with scent too, I'm going to have to add those to my wish list!

This is an excellent idea. It gives us hope about our gardens.

Lovely pictures everyone, fantastic thread to cheer me up after a 2 hour dog walk in the freezing cold over the thicket. An abundance of colour giving me LOTS of ideas for Spring planting. I better get saving image Dove & Bob those Aquilegias, my goodness! Victoria, which variety of Campanula are the tall purples, if you don't mind me asking?

imageimageimageimageimageimageimageWhat a lovely thread at this time of year, thank you Wonky. I was looking at photos of my garden in summer the other day, but I'm used to my garden. But don't forget everyone to post your photos on this thread when your gardens start to unfold, there are already some lovely snowdrops etc. And there are links to previous garden photos. Sorry Wonky, I'm advertising, at least it's not kitchens! http://www.gardenersworld.com/forum/the-potting-shed/garden-gallery-2017/991008.html/

Here is a look back from me.
