Very nice toad lily AuntyRach, shame about the slugs, I had to dig up my alstroemeria to plant in a pot  last week due to slug damage.

Lovely pics Wonky image I like the verbena with the grass . My profile name originated from my surname Perkins

  • Brilliant photos from everyone, really great looking through.

I have Verbena-envy now. Definitely growing those next year. I 'broke the rules' and put Verbena B at the front of a border in my last house - that was effective, but love the inter-mingled looks by Chris and Wonky.

Perki - the toad lily is one of very many plants that I have to nurture in a pot to beat the slugs. Some of the pots are nestled into the borders once they are robust enough to take some assault (Lupins, Delphiniums, Astrantia, Heleniums, Centaurea...)

My garden and I live in South Wales.
  • Beautiful flower combinations Chris - yes they are stunning but I have newt envy - such a lovely little creature - which type is it? Do you know how long they take to mature - we had adults which seem to have disappeared but have a couple of youngsters that don't appear to have limbs yet - so it would be interesting to know how long before they look similar to yours.

Which grass is that Wonks/Hosta? Looks very good combined with the Verb.bon.

I must go and take a few pix - when the rain goes off. Should have done it yesterday. My 'gifted' cyclamens are flowering  - thank you Dove  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
