Lovely colours Joyce. Is there a trick to successful Poppy growing?

We lost out young niece, Poppy, a couple of years ago and my OH was her devoted Aunt and carer. Each year since I've tried to surprise her by sowing some poppy seeds in various places around the garden but with absolutely zero success!

Perki, Yes it's "blue heaven". I think I planted "Maybelle" as well but it flowers at the end of the month.

Dave - Try investing in a couple of oriental poppies instead.   They come in various sumptuous colours now.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Dave. I have never sown poppies from seed. I have that red one which I have to thin out, the orange one the same as M-Us and a lovely pale pink one.

I agree with Obelixx re planting the oriental ones.
