I can't believe how far on my perennials are already. My raised beds are full, even had to start lobbing bits of my bleeding heart as it's over shadowing the later flowering plants. The weather here has been so mild really during the day but bitter on a night.
Below are pics the first two are my raised beds on 28th May last year and the last two are them from last Thursday. The difference is amazing. Granted the bed by the white wall ( my house ) was only built and planted mid March last year but the other, by the dry stone was has been in for 6 years and no new plants put in this year thus far.
I really cannot believe how much pleasure pottering in my garden watching things grow gives me ?
Totally agree. It always cheers me up no end, if I am sore or a bit down to come on this forum and look a the photos of your wonderfull gardens. I love reading the posts and your replies, you all seem to know so much. I am even starting to learn a few bits now.
Nice pic TGG ! I might try that one day - if I ever lie down on the grass. I should make the effort just now as it's probably as dry as it's ever going to get
Pottering's good b'foot gardener. I like a bit of that too. Lovely pix
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Great pics everyone - really enjoy looking at this thread.
I was admiring my newly opening Aliums today and noticed the little green centres so was reading about their botany- they are the ovaries!
Oh aunts rach! Think you have put me off them now
beautiful pic
@Beaus Mum,
Flowers are the sexual reproductive organs of the flowering plants and we admire their exhibitionism.
Lovely pic, AuntyRach.
