"Winter Passion" has a lovely warm glow Liri. I haven't grown honesty for some years. Maybe time to do so again.

That's a lovely honesty, Yvie.  Might give it a try...  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Bob, the heucheras give such a lovely splash of colour.

GD, the sun is bringing out the depth of colour in your flowers.

  • Thank you.  I had almost written off the clematis montana a few weeks ago - the plant looked dead.  It is in a very large pot but this is still restricting it's growth.  However we have about a dozen flowers on it now.

Lovely flowers Bob - is the last gorgeous white flower an anemone?  It is perfect - beautiful. Yes the heucheras are lovely,  are they evergreen - do they die down in the winter?

Yes, anemone blanda which are quite variable.  The heucheras keep going all winter although some of them look a bit disheveled by the end of it but they soon perk up when spring arrives. image

  • Your blanda looks a whole lot healthier than mine - when I bought them (2), they were in flower and looked lovely, however they are struggling in their new home, I may have to move them yet again.

I have just bought some heucheras for the first time, the foliage is attractive - a yellowish one and a redish one - I have put them around the pond to add all year round interest.
