CJWP this has been a bit of a pain to type on, I keep losing the last letter when I add a full stop. Keep having to edit. I lost one recently called Blue and miss him terribly, although I have another 7 his individual personality is missed from the group. If you have time for a new cat try cats protection they are always full and you'd be giving a new cat the loving home snowy had. AYM is definitely right, life is too short.

Now you have a successful post you'll have to tell us about your plant purchases, I think the other messages may have been lost somewhere. Enjoy a natter with us. ?

CJWP, I'm sorry to hear you've lost your pet. I do agree with the others that giving a home to another one will benefit you both.

Thanks jenny30  I have given a lot thought to having another cat  I now have reached the age of 84  and now with my sister now 83  a lot of our time is taken up by looking after our disabled 80 year old brother and with other things including my habit of leaving the country for 8 weeks at this time of  year as of now in Tenerife  I don't think I could manage  to look after it properly   maybe and it will happen one day when I am not able to travel etc then a cat will be good company Now for plant purchases  Each year on a day in July my sister my brother and I take a day off and visit our plant suppler at West Adderbury Oxfordshire  open day there we are able to see and plan for next year  a lovely day out   then when the catalogues arrive decisions are made and orders placed in September for delivery in the following  April  having taken account of Brian's choice as he is unable to do much gardening himself he loves  to see  the flowers in bloom we try and have a different  display each year this year it's  gaziners.geraiums. lobelia. petunias  and for the baskets it's  the usual  begonia.  petunias . geraniums. Indian mint which gives off a loverly smell in the evenings after a hot day If I am successful  in posting this what does B I U mean

Lots of older cats needing good homes.

I have been led astray by Busy and have placed an order for roses, nerines and a selection of perennials on a French website she recommended - all because the people advertising nerines on GW don't deliver outside the UK.

CJWP, a lovely idea to have a day out to help you decide on the following year's plants. You will have lots of colour this year. Hope you are enjoying your stay in Tenerife.

Aym, what's the name of the plant that looks like a cross between a banksia and a protea?

Those cats look like Leopards in a tree waiting  to pounce on you.

Iamweedy these are Savannahs, domestic cat crossed with an African serval. They like jumping, climbing and plummeting on you. I've learnt since we've had them not to bend over under trees as they will land on you and they weigh a lot more than you think. ?

Aym you've had a splurge but don't feel guilty as you'll have a lovely garden (good for you), the plants will benefit wildlife and they'll last for years so that'll offset the initial cost.

Oh the B I U you asked about CJ is BOLD, ITALIC and UNDERLINE.
