In your opinion Verdun, not shared by all.

I buy all my plants on line, most are very good, if there are problems, I have never had a problem returning things.

I usually use Crocus or Paddocks, but have also used Ashwoods and Woottens.

It's bit late in season now for last years left overs but I have got some bargains from  our local Strikes  GC on their "search and rescue"  tables .  Half price Sedum,  Pieris and some Heucheras .

There is now a stash of these behind my Wendy house waiting to be planted .

  • Uzrya if you have a Wyevale in walking distance then use it as a reference. Go there at the very least once every month of the year and take note of what's looking fabulous. Then you can look on line or for other local nurseries to buy cheaper. If you go each month and choose something for the garden then your garden will have a point of interest all year round and not just in one or two seasons. Have a look in garden centres over the next few months for 'starter perennials', these are young perennial plants that are raring to go and will soon fill a space. They usually come in 4 or 5 for a tenner offers and the like. Also be nosey and see what's growing well in the neighbours gardens, that'll give you a bit of a hint as to what's happy around you.

Are you still shopping Aym? You are going to need a garden extension. image

I have to confess to a few more dahlias and three hostas- purple sensation. image

  • To be honest I do not really order any seeds. I mainly get mine from the front of the gardening magazines that I buy. I have two containers full of seeds that will keep me busy over the next few months and couple of years no doubt.
