I think it's "jigsawplanet"    Some of Fairy's pics are there too.

Missing Fairy and her hill walking pics.  Hope she is just having a break.

Thanks for all your lovely comments.  Glad to have added Finland to your "places to visit" list, Chicky!

The jigsaw site some of us have been putting photos on, is indeed Jigsawplanet.  I put a couple of Finnish pics on there when this site wouldn't let me upload anything...

We didn't find it particularly expensive.  Our B&B in Tampere (not in the centre, which is more expensive) cost 60 euros per night, for the room & breakfast for 2.  Not plush, but comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was lovely.  The no-mod-cons cottage by the lake was 300 euros for the week.  Food & meals were a similar cost to here; some places did a 3-course lunch buffet for 8-15 euros.  And apparently the Finns are generally in favour of their high taxes, since they provide universal free school meals, great health care and a well-run country.  image

I was wondering if anyone had seen Fairygirl recently...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    chicky, lovely.

Mine was a bit swamped by, erm..... hostas last year, so I've lifted it and replanted in an urn by the back door. Fingers crossed.

    Devon.
  • Yes, that is a lovely picture Chicky - the subtle colours are so soothing. The fronds are so detailed and pretty.

I've not seen that fern before Chicky. How lovely to see colours that aren't just green and brown.

Not really my garden, but our back area. Some shots from this afternoon

One of our native ferns. Forget the name, but I'll put it on later when I've had a scramble through a book or two.

the water level is dropping in all of our dams. This has an over flow dip on the right for when it's full. Can't remember when it was last overflowing. Wouldn't mind some of your rain.
