Friends of a friend, many years ago, called their cat 'Ceremony', just for the pleasure of being able to open the door to visitors by saying 'Come in! Don't stand on ceremony!'.
There was a puppy naming competition on a rescue site I hang about on sometimes. One of the winners chose 'MacDuff' because they'd always wanted to be able to say 'lead on, MacDuff'
Gardening on the edge of Exmoor, in Devon
“It's still magic even if you know how it's done.”
My sister is fostering a kitten that her sister-in-law found abandoned. He is called Dibby - so I was thinking... Dibber (gardener's gadget)... or how about Digger or even Spade?
I hope 'we' get a name soon or kitten will have to be called cat! Hope he is doing well anyway.
