London Harvest Festival LG....they could do with some better quality rosettes...
Perhaps I should send them the number and website details of another company.....
I've enjoyed the new GW a bit more, but, like many others, I still think there's too much 'filling'. Pleasant way to pass an hour, with a couple of interesting pieces, is how I still see it. Many items pass me by. Difficult to get the right balance I suppose.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I'm more than happy with it. Some articled don't interest me, plum orchards and giant fruit, but others loved them: that's the way of it.
I still think the weather is pointless when there are so many other places we can check the weather, and ditto to " cooking", we're not exactly short of that on tv. Cut them out and more gardening would be my preference. Again, others are liking them.
I'm loving seeing the " tropical" gardens, which seem to have had more air time in the last few weeks , than the last few years put together.
Keep it an hour I say, you can always pop out to make a cuppa / feed the hedgehogs/ spend a penny etc whenever something is one you're not keen on. Or use the fast forward button.
GW is trying to cater for gardeners who are very experienced and novices. They cannot do that without boring someone who already knows what they are doing.
I am not a total novice, I like the the new format and I am learning a lot.
Just finished watching tonight's programme (7th October) and have to say it's been my favourite so far. I've been critical of the urban garden segments with Florence Headlam, but thought tonight's was a great improvement. In the past I've felt it has been far too superficial, with no explanation of what's happening and pots miraculously planted without compost! Tonight she showed the mix being used along with why she was doing things.
The only aspect I would question is planting up containers of that size before putting them into their final position. Perfect way to get a bad back. Apart from that slight quibble, very good.
Like the new format. I just fast forward on bits I don't like. Looking forward to seeing Adams garden develop. An hour for me please! Like the cooking bit using veg I had not tried - chard. Often wondered how you cook it. Wish they would go behind the scenes at some of these NT gardens to see how they do things.

You can please some of the people some of the time, but you'll never please all of the people all of the time.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hello , recorded last Fridays show , watching it tonight
Verymuch like the Hour , hope it continues
Shame they don't put Beechcroft on BBC 2 , always have problems finding it
I think we should regard the current series as a trial run for an hour long programme.
We each have our own gardening interests but it's good to widen our horizons and see what others do.
