So, the hour-long show has started, and what an INSIPID opening theme tune. What has happened? The theme tune from BARNSDALE’s ere was joyous and enlightening but this new version is flat, turgid and boring.
As for Monty popping his head from behind a bush; is this new Show Producer fresh from CBBC?
GW is never going to get the four or five million viewers in the same way that GBO had on BBC 2. So don’t mess with a 48-year formula.
I enjoyed it, left comment on the other thread this morning (sorry Verdun, couldn't see this one )
More gardening programming is great, just a shame that the hour long episodes are kicking off in September when things are winding down. If the BBC are looking to increase viewing figures surely spring is the time to go in with a bang for a relaunch of the series format?
Fingers crossed that enough folks tune in and they continue with the hour long episodes next year.

Delphinium chap was very informative.
Now know that I've been watering Iris Reticulata too often.
Front garden 'pot' lady should have explained some plants were tender and would have to be removed from pots.
A bit too much time (for me) spent on Sheffield garden.
Looking forward to see what Adam's plans are.
Happy to watch for the hour.
