Yesterday was lovely down on the south coast looking over to the Isle of Wight. Flat calm Solent, sunny skies and 20C.

  • Yes today was so different from yesterday. Drizzly and grey all day today but still managed to enjoy the autumn colours at Savill Gardens with my mum and sister.

Dave your photo is lovely. You obviously live in a beautiful part of the country. We didn't see the sun at all yesterday here in Cheshire but the forcast is for better weather today. The clocks must go back this weekend which is a bit of a downer ?

It's cold here too, in the Pennines.  2.2 overnight, but clear and beautiful this morning.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Stockton N.E. Same as you GWRS woke up thinking I had slept in it was so light, The garden is lapping up the sunshine and you can see the plants turning their faces to the sunshine, me too.

GWRS I have to put N.E. as I am confused as to where we actually are on the map. I was born in County Durham, then this part became Teesside as we were taken over by Middlesbrough, that changed to Stockton Borough much to the horror of places such as Yarm Billingham and other parts once their own people. Now we appear to be Durham Tees Valley if you are to believe the nearly defunct Airport and yet appear to have changed back to Stockton with no other designation that I am aware of. All that yet never moving more than three miles from where i was born. Am I stateless i ask?

    Frank.

  • We had sunshine here too, after a cloudy but still morning the afternoon proved to be a bonus.  We even got the lawn (which had grown very long in just 2 weeks) mowed as the what wind there was changed from S/W to a drying N/E. The temperature dropped to 15 degrees today.

Stockton N.E. Definitely cooler although fairly bright, a Northerly wind and the Coastal front is well inland where it certainly looks darker. A proper Autumn day in these parts I would say, the trees are really shedding leaves now.
