Friday morning it was 0° but no frost, then a lovely day. Saturday morning was 1° then sun. This morning was warmer but quite a cloudy day.

Drizzling. Glad we brought most of the furniture and cushions in after our bathroom flood. Had put them out to dry over the weekend.

Busy Lizzie, Drying the furniture and cushions after the Bathroom flood? what on earth do you get up to in your bathroom, Mad Parties??

I can see the tops of the hills rising from the morning mist, their tops agleam with golden sun. Down the hill the meadow with its stream with specks of light in sunlight spun, The leaves turning in time to brown with a zephyr wind making them drift down, to gather in downy packs for us gardeners to collect in big black sacks. October and no rain, an Indian summer to ease the pain of those Icy winds from Siberian plains, who knows i take it day by day sitting here in the suns bright rays.

    And that folks is Stockton.

    Frank.

Flexible pipe under the basin burst in the night. Flooded the bathroom, landing, next door bedroom and the family room below. Trying to sort out insurance and dehumidifiers.

Busy Lizzie, not nice, Good insurance will put things right although it is a great help it is never the same. Good luck.

    Frank.

  • That sound awful Busy, a very stressful time for you, but hopefully in time you will look back and wonder how you got through it, you will of course and come to realize that possessions aren't everything.  Good luck.

The weather was a bit damp this morning, and again tonight, with no real sun to speak of.  Hopefully it will be better tomorrow.

One of the worst bits was that I slipped on the wet tiles in the hall and fell heavily onto the wooden staircase. Very bruised and sore. No time to see the doc as sorting out the flood.

Was supposed to be sun today but it's cloudy.

Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all.
    Stanley Horowitz

I think Horowitz says it all.

Stockton today started bright then slowly stripped of its summery cloths took on the warm woollen blanket of the indoors. Joanne my cleaning lady opened every window, stripped off her top layers and enjoyed the breeze as it took on a very wintry mode indeed. As she left I proceeded to close them all again, the breeze must have come from Siberia.

Sorry to hear you hurt yourself B.L insurance does not cover that does it, get well soon.

    Frank

  • Busy, don't be too busy to sort yourself out properly.  There is nothing more frustrating than not being able to get about.  Hopefully a once in a life time experience, so take care of yourself as much as you care for your lovely garden.

Weather here is dull but brightening now.  Barely any wind, so a good day outside although the grass was very wet this morning.
