The Avon 'skin so soft' sounds good. I have used Jungle Formula and Life Adventure Systems and they are great...but as was said here before they are bad for you.... its DEET. so its carcinogenic. And yes...I do have to use it, even for just the 10 minutes it takes to water the garden.
Yes antihistamine tablets work well for the itch. I'm put off using them in the daytime as they make me drowsy, but good at night time to stop the scratching and help you drift off ???

You can buy 'non-drowsy' versions of antihistamine tablets, suitable for taking if you're going to drive etc.
