The empty seats are a bit of an eye opener chicky, but as the pundits  were saying, the tickets are expensive, and therefore outwith the reach of many residents who will earn very little. I suppose we forget that. Very sad for everyone  image

    Morning all.

Well, I wasn't expecting rain this morning. tsk.

Best bit of the Olympics, is all the other stuff I'm getting done due to nowt else being on telly.

I do so wish they'd just have a channel dedicated to sport. World Cup, Wimbledon, Olympics means every other programme schedule seems to be altered all summer long.

Programme about the Scottish Highlands last night was FAB though.

    Devon.

Glad you're enjoying that prog Hosta. Photography's terrific on it. I can recommend those C. McNeish ones too. You can get them on catch up if you have Sky or summat, or on iPlayer. Lots of lovely scenery in them to remind you of 'home'   image

Rain on again here.  B*%£$* image

Fairy, what are the C.McNeish programmes called? Until the olympics is over, I'm struggling to find stuff to watch.

    Devon.

    Since the lounge is... well like this;

     image

I have no sofa to weigh down and the TV is packed away in the caravan too much faff to try to get it on.

So I'm doing some on line shopping from the patio; proving quite cheap so far I've left my wallet at work so can't pay for anything!

    Morning all!

Rain this morning has allowed me to catch up with some paperwork, whilst wearing my gardening clothes (I live in hope... no wet forecast for today, of course!).

Thanks very much for your help re telly.  I think we'll get a cheapish set top box and see if it works adequately with the existing aerial - and if it doesn't, we'll have the aerial replaced.  image

Your kitchen/sauna photo reminds me of our current kitchen, Fairy.  It's the next thing on the list - when we've paid for the waterproofing of the floor!  image

Had to hang up the washing in the spare bedroom.  But maybe it can go out this afternoon...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

It was the strip lights that really sold it Liri image

It was the amount of cleaning it required in order to use it that was  the main issue...image

Rain went off again so I've put washingout...fingers are crossed. H****work has been getting done instead of gardening, otherwise people may leave messages in the dust...image

    Will get out shortly though...

My MSP was on the phone this morning for 20 mins. . . before that, I had a visit from the local councillor and next week someone from Transport Alliance will be calling in. . . . a successful response, to my and other residents and road users complaints. . . . Instead of a cycle lane at each side of the road there is a double lane at our side with concrete blocks on the road, apart from driveway access No consultation re disability access which I require at my other gate for OH and daughter. Buses etc have to squeeze past each other.   No doubt in a few weeks the concrete blocks will be removed!!
