That's lovely auntyrach. My dad was a keen gardener but I didn't really get into in until after he had passed away. I often think of him and the times I spent at his allotment while I was growing up.
Yviestevie, I used to live round by the Tolladine road. In a council house until I was 11,then dad bought his own house in Christ church road. Those days couldn't buy council property. My dad grew cabbage and potatoes before we moved, but the second garden was smaller and he couldn't do it anymore because he had a accident, which left him with a bad and shorter leg than the other.
I'm new here as of last week. I live in a little village in Brentwood, Essex and love my newly landscaped garden. I was a secretary in London and retired 4 years ago but I needed more money and had to find another job so I changed careers at 62 and now I work 3 days a week as a phlebotomist. I love my job, love going to see Quo and love my garden!
I live in Uitenhage South Africa, we have been here 35 years. I was born in Rugby and my husband was born in Hove. I enjoy gardening but my husband sits in the chair tell me how to do it. I enjoy reading where people come from as i use to spend school holidays in glasgow with my gran.
I live in West London. On a clear day, I can see Wembley Stadium. Retired 6 years ago. I've always done a bit of gardening, but never had the time to get fully engrossed. Now all that's changed and its developed into an obsession!
Hi I live about 20miles from Port Elizabeth which is down near the bottom of the map, Our weather is the opposite to you as we start spring in septemenber and our weather at the moment is cold early evening and early morning later in the day it warms up.
