    Hi welcome, simply flowers,

I'm in Redditch, moved here when I married 30 years ago, before then I was brought up in Worcester.image

  • Kent/London border here, just inside the M25. Though I WISH I was still in Vancouver, where the lovely summers gave us some beautiful flowers!

Vancouver is my second favourite Claire. The cherry blossom is a sight to behold. image

Also...it's really close to Whistler! image

  • Hello Simply Flowers.  You've probably guessed that I am in Guernsey, in the Channel Islands. We don't live exactly on the coast, but do get a fair bit of westerly winds in our fairly exposed large garden with attached field (rented by farmer).

  • Wow so many retired people, very lucky. Lots of different locations too. Logan you are not a million miles from me. Thank you for your kind words about my garden kitty 2 (and the tip about the avatar). As a newly single person asfter 27 years with the same person my garden has helped to keep me sane. Looking forward to finding out more about you all and your love of all things gardening.

Hi Simply Flowers, and others. I am in South Wales and bought my current house mainly because it has a lovely south facing garden. The garden is quite mature so my main tasks are maintainance and pruning (so much pruning!) but I try to put my mark on it by adding plants to existing borders and making up pots for the patio.

I am a beginner in many respects but I learned so much from my Mother and Grandmother that I am the 'resource' for my whole family now! Gardens make me remember those special ladies and the time we spent digging/planting/trimming/learning/enjoying/just sitting... wonderful.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

    See original post

I ADORED living there. Made some fantastic friends and it just felt like 'home' for me.

The cherry blossoms really are incredible. And then in the autumn you get the maples coming into their own.

Whistler is lovely. Not an impersonal huge resort, and also has some beautiful snowshoe trails to trek through. And the car ride there up the Sea-to-Sky Highway is possibly one of the world's best roads. Apart from the ocean and mountains, its not uncommon to spot dolphins, seals, killer whales and even the odd grey whale on the way up there - with the chance of bears on the other wide of the road. And the eagle breeding area is up that way, too.

Gah!!! Want to go back! Boooo
