That's a seriously classy house for a bird. I can just imagine once the chicks have fledged the parents will be sat on the porch enjoying some well earned rest.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
I have a blue tit box way up on the side of my house (north facing) and nobody has ever shown interest. I thought that it must be too close to the deck, but it's the only spot where cats can't reach, and boy, do we have cats in the neighbourhood. I'm not sure where else to put it.
It has been up there about 5 or even 6 years, I never thought it would be used by birds, it was just an ornament. I noticed the activity about 5, maybe 6 weeks ago. Astonishing. And gosh, they are noisy little things.

I am struggling to get a photo of the butterflies, despite their size, they seem to spend a lot of time sat with their wings in an upright closed position.... a bit bizarre.

I was doing some tidying up on the patio last night/late afternoon when I heard some rustling nearby. It was some time before I realized I was covered in flying ants which were taking to the air from a nearby nest in a stone wall. Yuck! I hate the things. I thought it was unusually late in the day for them to be flying.
Last night a fox got into a first floor window of a neighbour and killed two pet rabbits, leaving a hell of a mess. We have a huge amount of foxes locally; people feed them and they go after food waste bins. People are now very worried about an infant being killed, of course.
I'm amazed that a fox in our area would go to the bother of entering a house when there is so much food around outside, but there we are. It will no doubt set off a strong wave of anti-fox sentiment and fear.
