  We've seen them dancing at Slimbridge a few times. It'll be amazing when they're back to being a common sight around the country (I hope).

  I have seen the storks at Knepp. They are doing really well there. I hope you get a chance to catch up with SW. @wild edges

  The ones they showed with the youngster are just down the road from MIL in S. Lincs ... it's a place where we used to walk her dog years ago, and has only relatively recently become a Nature Reserve https://www.spaldingtoday.co.uk/news/nature-reserve-closed-as-breeding-cranes-make-earlier-than-expected-return-9149325/

  Just spotted a Dunnock feeding a youngster.

  Luckily, they are ever-present in my garden but I rarely see youngsters.
  

  A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

  This is a link to a the recent all day re-wilding UK conference. Time stamps for the different sections are given in the drop down vid info.
  

  
  

  It includes a feature on the new stork population in Knepp (min 14). Knepp is an amazing place to visit if you get a chance. The storks are the first UK breeding community since the 15th century. There are growing populations of turtle doves and nightingales there. There are huge increases in butterfly numbers.
  

  
  

  The conference also discusses UK lynx and beaver re-introductions, among many other animals and land use changes.
