Hazel - if OH bought me an i-phone he'd find his life expectancy seriously curtailed! If I'm at home I have proper phone, TV, PC to be contacted or watch things on and I have a camera that I know how to work and upload photos from. If I'm out, I'm busy doing things or talking to people and don't want to be messing with a bloody phone. I only have this newer model because I needed to send texts for the dance club and couldn't do it via the PC anymore. Life is too short for a key pad where I have to hit one key 4 times to get an S.
It has stayed dry. Miracle! OH has been strimming and weeding our front boundary and i have been doing admin and hunting down containers for stuff I need to move in teh attic. Cardboard archive boxes expensive and a delivery delay. Plastic storage boxes with lids very expensive at 15 to 20 euros and not rigid when stacked.
Problem solved at supermarket - large, plastic, stackable crates for veggies and salads which I can re-use for storing and moving future babies in pots and a mere €3.5 a go. Result.
No tennis here but quite enjoying coverage of the Chilcott report in between jobs.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
Afternoon all, Watched the end of the Federer match and wished I had watched it from the start. Now watching Murray, looks like another nailbiter.
Had a day of cuddles yesterday with Mabel and babysat while firstborn and SIL went out for a meal to celebrate her birthday.
Babt grabdson isn't well at the moment. He is now on synthetic milk. They have tried him with lactose free and dairy protein free and his tummy still can't tolerate it. Secondborn isn't getting much sleep. I'm going over on Friday and staying the night so they can both get a night's sleep.
Popped into Ashwoods this morning for a quick look round and bought a lovely phlox, white with a dark purple eye, can't remember the name. Spent an age deadheading when I came back, will need to go out again and water later.
Yvie, really sorry to hear about your baby grandson's feeding problems - hope they sort out what he can and can't tolerate soon... our younger granddaughter was breastfed but turned out to be unable to digest cow's milk protein and soya protein passing into the breast milk, so our daughter had a rather restricted diet for a bit. The baby grew out of it gradually, and now (aged 2) can (and does!) eat everything. It's tough on the new mum as well as the baby though, isn't it? So hard when the baby is wakeful and mum feels like a zombie most of the time. Hope you can work some magic on Friday night!
Catching up on Murray on tinternet whilst OH is watching the football. Can't bear the tension of watching the tennis any more!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

OMG the Murray match is a corker 1.5 hours for the first set
Will the Murray match end before the football starts?
When can I get my dinner?
Topbird agree , dinner on tray tonight , all ready for football
Whats the BBC going to do ?
Runnybeak, there's the Davis Cup a week after Wimbledon. I've moved rooms to the other TV to let OH watch the football.
