Very colourful @pitter-patter. It reminds me of when l was at school, the craze was for crocheting squares . One of our teachers suggested we sewed them altogether to make a bedspread/blanket, and we raffled it to raise money for a local charity. I had forgotten all about it until l saw your photo, brought back some memories.
Is anyone watching the Sewing Bee? Why can they all do a woolen coat - after a fashion - but not a simple linen jacket? They must have done sleeves and lapels before......... surely?

I've watched all the previous series but not this one. It's not the same without Claudia but it gets the same as series go by. It happens with other programmes as well.
Have recorded it ... will have a look, probably this evening. I’m a big Claudia fan but must say that Joe Lynette has embraced the role brilliantly ... love him in this.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Probably because they had more time for preparation and practise at home, working with a pattern of their choice for the coat. It's in at the deep end with the 'pattern challenge' of making the jacket.
I don't sew but I do enjoy this programme. I also think Joe has settled into his role brilliantly, not having Claudia won't stop me watching. I like the Pottery Throw Down too. Does anyone know if that's back this year?
