Really lovely work Yvie. I’d happily hang them again on my wall.

Thanks Pat. Just started to teach myself crochet, but it will be a while before anything gets posted on here.  At the moment I'm working on a christmas table runner for next year, still attacking a rag rug I started years ago and thinking of knitting some jumpers for grandsons.

Beautiful blanket, Lyn. And what a lovely watercolour, Yviestevie. On a lower scale, I’ve decorated a small terracotta pot today with acrylic. Is there a way to preserve the colour? I think @Obelixx was suggesting painting terracotta with varnish to make it waterproof. Would it work over the paint?

The talent on this forum is second to none! Some beautiful things. @Lyn I love to crochet blankets for babies but nothing as complicated as yours. Well done to all.

The blanket was easier than you’d think. It was a kit first off so no worry about amounts of wool or patterns.  I think it cost £26.00. Every square came with YouTube instructions if you needed them.
Those paintings are lovely and the pot is so professional I would buy that in a shop.

@Lyn I must admit I did a more complicated baby blanket as I loved the picture of it in the book and it wasn't as difficult as I had thought it would be. When the children were young and we lived in Scotland there was an old fashioned wool shop in the town. The owner would give me any wool that wasn't selling and a pattern to make something up for her to sell. I hadn't crocheted anything in my life before (apart from a square or two) but I got a pattern for a lady's bed jacket and didn't let on and with determination I finished it. Got 10p for each ball of wool I used!!

A few years ago I’ve made this huge king size blanket. It wasn’t hard to make, but it did take quite a while to get it done. So do make one if you’re feeling tempted, it’s not difficult.
