That's a very smart looking doggy coat and cosy too.

Here is what I did with the Dresden plate place mat patch and the grandma's fan mug mat project.   Turned them into a cloth for a dressing table but the Dresden plate was too wide so I twisted it.  Made my own bias binding too.  Just wondering if it needs more quilting or if I should leave it understated.

I’d be tempted to do some more quilting Obelixx, if it was me, but I never know when to stop once I’ve started.🤭. Beautiful colours and design, and of course, your quilting is lovely and fine and your piece work is excellent.

Thanks Pat.  I did the entire thing by machine except for hemming the backside of the bias binding.   That caused much amusement at patch group yesterday as I sat and stitched by hand.    Some have now asked for tips on machine piecing.......

It’s not easy to get that last stitch into the right corner, Obelixx. Congratulations!

My wife wanted to buy a Gruffalo cake for my son's birthday but they were very expensive for what they were so I said I'd decorate one for him if she baked the base. I was told in no uncertain terms what would happen if I did a bad job of it so I was well motivated :#  I think it turned out ok. Everything scratch built from polymer modelling clay (apart from the chocolate logs) and I even iced it myself.

That's superb!  You will be getting commissions for birthday cakes.
