3 could be a Prunus laurocerasus (laurel) seedling

    4 a weed whose name I've forgotten

The laurel seedling sounds right...The neighbours behind have cherry laurel trees. The wood smellsnof marzipan when cut. At the beginning they were like a pea that was split in half?

    Thanks nutcutlet.

Looks like I have a fair bit of weeding to do tomorrow. Bah!
