  • Unfortunately not Joyce. That's pretty much the state of my lawn. There is a bit that's deeper than that but I couldn't find it for the pic.

I have a giant pond that is functioning as a sump and I put in a pipe last year to lower the water level but this year's rain has been ridiculous. At most we've had three dry days in a row in the last 2 months. Not enough to let the natural water level drop before the next pee fest! That trench was left by the lawnmower during the last emergency grass cut two weeks ago. image

Errrrr...... our shrubs could do with a bit of a trim... The lawn is a lost cause, but it's more important to me to be able to let the dog have fun.   image

The dog will help you to achieve the required results.

Your dog reminds me of the dog in the woodentops but I suspect that you're a few decades to young to remember himimage

Haha, thank you B3, but you flatter me! I can remember the Woodentops - and Bill & Ben. But not quite Muffin the Muleimage Our garden is somehow less than the sum of its parts. I'm a rubbish gardener, but there are a lot of hidden gems tucked away.

It's the hidden gems that keep us going and the imperfections we ignore that keep us sane - for the most part image
