We have that look in the basement sitting room Clari! Very chic! We call it the brickworks! Just a reclined sofa, computer with mounted large screen, open fire and chair for the cat, minimalist cave style image we left the bricks and painted them with stabilising solution to bond and prevent brick dust but I think it still qualifies for half arsed style of the GOS thread!

the room next door comes with DJ decks, moonflower projected light which moves to music, full PA system...you get the picture!

    image sorry MU.

How's the shop doing? Busy with passing summer trade or are those morrisons placcy bags still festering away? Bet you'd still get a higher hygiene rating than some of the fast food outlets on the curry mile in Manchester image

Yeah.. of course I cleaned up after myself... ? What kind of awful person do you think I am?! It's tidy enough I'm using the excuse of needing someone to help hold the bags open ;)

If I feel motivated I'll show you a photograph of the many holes in the walls in the morning.... fire place, serving hatch. Holes!

It's not about the surface .

From other threads, I know we can all do the frosting on the cake and the sneaky camera angles.

This thread is about what we sweep under the carpet or the hedge or stand in front of or trip over. This is real gardening! We are doing a service for newbies and those of us who couldn't open their gardens without public liability insurance approaching the national debt.image

Back again after an hour long conversation about A level results with daughter no.2 image that was fun image

Clari : Been there/done that 8 years ago with a kitchen re-fit, knocking down walls. Lots of dust that never shifts, looks bigger when you rip everything out, then smaller when you take the plaster off, then bigger when you re-plaster, then smaller when youy put stuff back in. It's like doing the hokey-cokey image

Found a bit for the GOS though looking back on an unfinished bit, stuck in the missing coving gap for safe keeping some "Gordon Brown crisps" and a teddy bear. Does it count if it's in your home?
