It's retro vintage style Hazel. image

Just look at his boxy shape, similar in some ways to the old VW Golf that was popular at the time.

Nah she'll be here for ages Hazel. Weeks maybe! image

There's a wee BMW for sale near me of a similar vintage and boxy shape. We were admiring it when we were out earlier.

Many vintage treasures would have been lost to us if a sloth had not bunged them in the garage and forgotten about them.

Declutterers  selfishly consign many a future antique/collectable to the skip.

About five years ago, probably more, we cut down a dead apple tree. We left a two foot stump  as we thought it might make it easier to get it out.

Anyway, time passed and we did nothing more. In the meantime, red ants took over and built a nest in the stump and, I assume, under it. The stump is at 12o'clock on my sinuous lawn and visible from all directions.

I don't bother them and they don't bother me. I never see them unless I take the lid off the stump. (I leave it there for their benefit)

Am I an ecologist or a lazy b@!!&r?

    That's excellent, B3.  image

Re vintage treasures - anyone see last Sunday's "Antiques Roadshow"?  Someone's dad went into care, daughter cleared out his home & found an ancient TV with 4" screen, complete with instruction book.  Worth thousands.  Daughter somewhat shocked as dad had been on pension support.  image

I regret to report that half the bags of rubbish filling my shed have been taken to the tip.  image  However, I confidently predict the space will be re-filled in the next few weeks.  image

    Anything useful???? GONE!

Doesn't know what it is???? GONE!

Favourite clothes she loves???? Gone! Had them ages....

That's fine till she goes looking for it all and then moans for weeks about getting rid of it. image

    Idle gardeners are:

+ Organic because we never get round to spraying anything

+ Wildlife friendly (see above) and our gardens are full of habitats
