Had app with vet's at 4.00pm,he gave him an extra because he thought his toe might be broken but it was an infection in his toe.He gave him a pain killer as injection and antibiotics also metacam pain killer, got to keep him quiet.See how he goes the weekend, but the pain killer has worked already.Left the other 2 at home when we come back they wouldn't leave bracken alone.image

Oh that's good news that it's not broken. Poor old soul. The ones left at home always go mad with the strange smells after a vet's visit. They're just glad it wasn't them! image

this is a painting of Mick that we lost in 1999 and a photo of Brin who we got at 8 weeks in 2001

he is a bit arthritic but otherwise in good health.

Both favourites in our family. My mum bred shepherds and now has border collies. 15 is a very good age for a BC.  Beautiful boys Flyfifer.

Thanks PP.  They are indeed beautiful boys,  Mick was one in a million, he was the most loyal dog and friend anyone could wish for. unless he took a dislike to someone then you had to watch him like a hawk. image

Hi all this is our very sadly deceased Welsh cob stallion Dwyfor Viscount or more commonly called Dulas as we stayed in the Dulas valley hotel when we bought him as a yearling in 1980.  We lost him in 2012 making him 33 years old.  He was very calm and gentle for a stallion and had a marvelous temperament.

He was fully trained to ride and drive and sired many foals passing his super temperament on to them all. And so I had 32 years of wonderful friendship and companionship with him whether it be mucking out, grooming, riding, or, driving him.

. Shown in hand he won many first second and third places .His  claim to fame was getting second place in the mountain and moorland Large breeds at the Royal Highland show.

Also in the trap is little suzie a jack russel cross border terrier a marvelous little ratter around the stables.

Sorry got carried away and for got the photo. image

That's a great pic Flyfifer. He's standing beautifully and looking very powerful. Look at that neck! I'm not sure about horses. I've only ever been bitten twice. Once by a hamster and once by a horse! image I tend to stay away from them now.

Logan how's Barley today? Is he feeling better?
