Now, my Hubby says he hates cats, we have the 2 dogs, on Friday I took them up the downs for a really long walk, got back he tells me to come and look underneath the BBQ, from the kitchen window, all I can see if my golden lion, (little Japanese area) keep looking no idea what I am meant to be seeing. So, he gets the camera, says hes taken a picture, switches it on, says Oh 8888 the battery is flate. Then tells me, he hears the dog flap, er "flap"! takes no notice it often does in the wind, it keep going, he is in the lounge, which is open plan to the kitchen, he desides to come and have a look, there on the kitchen worktop is a CAT eating my pat of bautter!!! I ask what all the cheese is, hes sayd the cat looked emacuated so he gave it some cheese as well, looked again out of the kitchen window, yup, there was a cat sunning itself under the bottom shelf of the BBQ, I laughed till I cried!
Wren threw up yet another one of granny's socks. Not really news anymore is it?
I decided to take her out for a proper walk last night...we need the exercise. She's never been on a lead! It was like walking a weasel!!!
WillDB I think it's raisingirl who has rehomed greyhounds and lurchers. She may be able to give you some pointers about rescue places near you. Leadfarmer also fosters and rehomes labradors if you could be tempted. (Tip:- they eat socks and throw them up days later...or worse! but they're worth it.)
We took Dudley to the North Devon coast for a few days and stayed in a cottage not too far from Westward Ho!
That boy loves a beach more than anything else in the world.
As well as several beaches (and pubs!) we went to Lynton and did the 'Julia Bradbury' walk up the valley to a National Trust cafe in the hills. He got a tad muddy!
Dudley are you old enough to drink!! Another weird visit to the veg plot, 3 HUGE poos, (sorry folks of delicate nature) I have 2 dogs my little one can get through the picket fence, but he DEFINITALY didnt pass these monsters, yesterday it was the veg plot, today the shingle, my collie, cant get down there, plus they didnt look or smell like hers, silly questions, are foxes poos always black, sticky, unformed, otherwise, we may have a lion on the loose here, and YES I did manage to tread in one on my way to the compost heap! Next door have installed a camera because their fish are disappearing, we are thinking of putting one see what the devil is going on down the garden.
Floss is so lovely. Sometimes I wish I could have another Border Collie, so intelligent and affectionate, but OH says we travel too much by plane now between England and France.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Scroggin.... what a gorgeous collie! We had two collies when I was growing up, lovely dogs.
Now I'm thinking of getting my own dog, but I'm leaning towards rehoming a greyhound.
*NEWSFLASH*
