Good news Logan. A good starving will usually do it. As long as he's drinking he'll be ok.

I was thinking about him just now as I was wrestling a tissue from Wren's mouth. She still managed to hang on to the corner. image Glad he's feeling better.

It makes you wonder what kind of innards these creatures have. Someday Wren will keep a sock down long enough for it to go right through. She's had several goes at it. image

How's Barley? Is he feeling any perkier?

imageimageimage This was our Barney Beau. He became ill just after Christmas last year and despite all efforts by the vet he couldn't be saved and we had no choice but to put him to sleep. He fell asleep in mine and my husband's arms. He would have been 8 years old days later. He was the best dog I've ever known, gentle, comical, vocal, playful, too clever by far . He gave so much love and devotion to us and the kids , we all miss him so much. Barney was a sock thief, preferably dirty, fresh off the kids floors. He'd put them in his bed under his pillow. My kids started the odd socks is trendy fad years ago. Sorry it started all a bit sad, but I've only recently been able to look at photos of him without getting upset, but I wanted to honour him by putting him on this thread.

He's gorgeous lilysilly. He looks like my Brooke dog. She was a great character too. It's so sad when they go before their time.

You're in good company here. Loads of tears but loads of happy memories. Soppy bunch! image

lillysilly, dont apologise, our pets are our family, have unfortunately had a few dogs put to sleep over the years, last one Holly, was 17 January,15, I did my crying while she was with us and going downhill.  She kept herself to herself, if you were lucky, once in a very blue moon, she would potter into the bedroom and put my head on the bed for you to stroke, otherwise, she wasnt particularly interested in being with us.  OH and I couldnt do the deed, my youngest daughter took her to the Vet.  As I am sitting here Luna has got hold of an envelope from somewhere, is chasing it round the floor, and chewing it up.  She lso likes stones, as did our last Blue Border Collie. She seems to prefer drinking dirty stinky water from drains etc, to the nice clean bowl of water in the kitchen.   Are you all watching the programme about rescue dogs being trained as assistance dogs, amazing!
