Dave, I don't think age matters as much as loving and caring and training. We have a rescue Labrador, age unknown but we think he's about 8 now and was never properly socialised and never went out of his terrace house either so, despite lots of training he is still nervous and afraid of anything new. but f-daft as a brush with us.
However, he loves our terrier rescue, now 10, to bits and us and also our two new kittens although he trembled with fear when they arrived. Your Dudley looks very contented. I hope you have loads of fun together for many years to come.

When i have to use my crutches Barley gets worked up and starts barking and getting in the way. So OH makes both of them to lie down and leave the biscuit.

Scroggin, she looks happy and those bluebells. I've seen a few patches of them in amongst the trees around here.
Great picture Scroggin.

They're very good and waits a long time for it.
Thanks Scroggin. It's slow, got to wait till 1st June before i can have the plaster off. Then it's going to be stiff.
Floss looks pretty after the groomers,
and the Bandana.
She always looks happy.
