They offered me 50 percent off, which i think is v cheeky as the goods are not worth anything.  I have accepted a full replacement for the plants though, and i will be quite happy if they arrive in good condition.  If they are the same i will most definitely want a refund.

one thing a bit worrying though is the nasty looking weeds they were covered in - a new one on me i had not seen it before.  I didnt put them on the compost just in case, but hope the replacements are free of it.

Jeez - did you pay £30 for those? image

Verd's right - they're shocking. Full refund needed. Don't let them off with anything less.

Sending out plants full of weeds is a real no no too. image

It gives every mail order company a bad name as well, which is unacceptable.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Is it chicky who's doing an ad hoc experiment? Somebody is. Randomers are ordering their stuff and charting their experiences on here from a specific supplier (S.R.).

Might be an idea to do it with the suppliers we all use. Rather than fragmented griping on various threads there could be specific experiences, both good and bad, with suppliers .They might buck up their ideas a bit. I posted a link earlier for someone who was having diffs, because the Customer Services rep from T&M had posted. Fair play to him for stepping in to the lions' den but he didn't seem best pleased that it was being discussed on a public forum.

I think it's today's equivalent of going to the press!

Nobody expects perfection all the time but in my experience of "the big guys" even average is a struggle. If your stuff arrives three weeks late, all busted up mush and covered in weeds, then customer services should at least step up to the plate!

I have ordered plants from "one man bands" and "little" suppliers on ebay and have been delighted with my plants. Feedback is a wonderful incentive when your reputation depends on it.

    yes £30 !!!

I would always give someone a 2nd chance, but actually i dont feel that hopeful!

I would never ever use ebay again.  I think i had over 500 transactions, had used it for years when something went really badly wrong with a purchase.  Believe me ebay could not have been less helpful, you have no legs to stand on.  a lot of sellers have their own websites, or sell through other websites too, but you need to be cautious. Fully support more info on them on here.

Fair comment a1154. We can start an ebay thread. image

My experience this year was with Parkers and if I can find the pics I'll post them. I thought rubbish had blown into my garden and it was part of my order. The remainder was distributed far and wide around the district! They gave me £13 pounds back off an £83 order!

Hopefully you'll get some satisfaction. At least now their name is out there.

Totally agree ive had quite alot of unusual cultivars of different plants from ebay sellers and have never been disappointed. Trouble is its a bit of an addiction if not a healthy one ?
